Over my five years of TM membership and slightly less M3W ownership I have listed the part numbers and descriptions of many of the parts that other owners have found are either alternatives that work or the Original Equipment Manufacturer identification. Now that many of our cars are out of warranty and more owners are doing maintenance the parts information is becoming more important. My list is quite long now but I am sure there are a lot more that could be added by TM members. I am not looking for Morgan or S&S numbers as they are all quite readily available but things like the Volvo clutch release cylinder, alternative batteries or headlights for example. I would like to make the list available to all here and also plan to put it on the MTWC website as well. If you have anything you think should be included, please list it on this thread or PM me if it is lengthy. I will try and edit something useable. Any advice on the best way to make it available here will be gratefully received. Excellent news Ian, A consolidated alternative parts list will be invaluable Unfortunately my only contributions would be gleaned from TM so I suspect you have these already.

Great idea but not sure of the efficacy of including parts that require some degree of modification to vehicle or part itself to enable fitting - larger battery for example.
Such items could maybe be part of a seperate list or at least marked as indirect replacement.

Not too sure on the best way to share this but this link should work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/60bb99854j1b9tj/M3W%20Alternative%20Parts%20List.pdf?dl=0If anyone has parts information or anything that they think would be of use to add, please let me have it and I will try and update the list periodically.
