Thats the point of course. Trouble is that different people will draw the line in different places. No married man can claim never to have inadvertently upset his wife - male and female minds work differently. So precisely what constitutes sexual harrassment? Will women see it the same as men? Will all women draw the line in the same place? And why is it wrong for men to leer but not wrong for women to dress in a deliberately sexually suggestive manner?

Indeed, just as bullying can be non physical, why cant sexual harrassment include women dressing suggestively. Is it reasonable to provoke and deny?

It's up to men to change behaviours such as these, by making antiquated 'leer fests' unacceptable.
You could not be more wrong I come from a once mining area . My late best mates grand father was head of all the ponies 750 . They where often taken to horse shows over the many many years

Miners used to take them food share there s/wiches . A field near where I lived as a child had loads of them and as miners past across it slices of bread and apples given to them . Yes you got the odd idiot who was nasty but it did not work down the mine as he was pulled to one side on the surface and shown how to hit the ground fast . 99% Miners did not like any cruel doings.

JTL -Just because it's been ok in the past does not make it ok now. They used to flog pit ponies to death and put children up chimneys but no-one in their right mind would go along with that nowadays..!

I'm gobsmacked by how many of you feel it's acceptable, I really am..!

Shame on you.

Totally shameful and outdated behaviour but very predictable from the elitists that were doubtless invited who clearly think they are above the Laws of the land.
They probably leave their moral code at home with "the little woman" swear

Oy? Ian, I don't think you can connect both issues. Although I lately I have been absent I used to be a regular contributor to that thread (and the "Something for Jays thread before that one, with a series of "Belles" I kept finding with cars)

And I am all for pitbabes, and for auto show models, whatever. I do admire a good looking girl. I don't mind them being atractive, or even sexy, a bit provocative. Have no issue with that, don't belong to a society that defends women must either dress ugly or stay at home. Nor do I belong to a society that tells women to walk behind their men when outside, with their faces covered.

There's a line here, one that must be drawn, even if it can be fuzzy at times. And I don't think that particular thread crosses it in any way, shape or form.

+1 Totally different issues - admiring art whether it be a young or older lady, men, car, boat or plane we have them all and I don't see any obsession about it at all.

The most revealing model on the thread was posted by a young lady member incidentally wink.

Well I'm sorry to hear that.

This thread today I thought very distasteful so it all depends which side of the fence you view things from I suppose. I don't put anything on here that my good lady would take objection too, but the thread below she would have found depraved.

Not for one moment to I condone inappropriate behaviour, but the report on tonights news also classed touching a young ladies hand as sexual harassment.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Rarely do I feel compelled to contribute to a non-car related thread on this website but on this one I cannot restrain myself. I have read the FT article, watched Channel 4 News, read every comment on this thread, and have to say how completely and utterly dejected I feel, how disappointed I am........not to have been on the guest list! What a cracking night out! Chaps having a great time together with waitresses consenting to and paid to titilate them and even willing (not forced) to dress for the occasion - and all for a good cause! What's not to like?!

All this ridiculous high and mighty postulating about it being sad, sick etc is utter nonsense. Objectification? Of course but so what? Provided everything is within the bounds of the law who's complaining? What's wrong with men having a night out together or having a 'Men Only' club? For that matter what's wrong with women having a night out together? I wouldn't stop them. Would you? Why don't women form their own 'Women Only' clubs? What's stopping them? Why is there a Women's Hour' but no 'Mens Hour'? Would we be allowed to have one? Do men complain about hen nights and the strip clubs that women go to?

No I wouldn't want my daughters to participate in a 'President's Night' but I'd defend their right as adults to choose to do so.

Can any one of those claiming such a night to be offensive truly say that they themselves have never enjoyed similar antics themselves at say a friend's or even their own stag night? Or did they walk out in disgust? Perhaps there will soon be rules governing stag nights which will see us chaps sitting down to tiddlywinks with a glass of fruit juice whilst the girls are of course permitted to get pissed up and totter off to a male strip/dance show.

I'm proud to stand up for what I believe to be the silent majority and say 'Get a grip!' to all those who jump on any and every politically correct bandwagon they can run after. What a load of tosh.
