This reminds me. I need to get on with the model I've started of my Grandfather's 40ft motor torpedo boat, CMB1, lost with battle honours off zeebrugge on 20th June 1917 engaging 5 german destroyers with his single torpedo.

One of the first stepped hydroplanes, the CMB was designed by John Thorneycroft and was based on one of his pre-WWI racing boats, Miranda III.

I managed to obtain digitized copies of the original lines plans from the National Maritime museum archives. The hull and deck have been built in GRP to 1/24th scale (1 inch = 2 ft ), so the model is 20 inches long.

Thread drift. Here's my Dad's spitfire, made while an armourer on Eagle Squadron during the B of B. Sand cast and partly filed. I suppose theLuftwaffe arrived so he didn't finish it. Don't think I'll touch it

Wow, that's an heirloom...

Perhaps you should have it framed as is and add a note about its history. The Battle of Britain story is very special.

Same applies to Pandy's Hydroplane - important to recognise the event and the sacrifice.

Good to see your Naval Architecture year one skills still put to use!

The standard 4/4 Stuart but built to your specifications as to paint, leather and accessories etc

To quote the Morgan Cars Australia web site:-

Optional Extras

The Morgan range offers customers a comprehensive list of optional extras to customise their car. Importantly, The factory will also paint a Bespoke Morgan in any colour (at extra cost) and customers may optionally choose from a large range of Yarwood or Muirhead leather trims. The standard (no cost) paint colours and trims are shown below. If you would like to review what the various standard and optional paints, interior trims, wheels and interior options will look like on your chosen model, please go to the Morgan UK ‘car creator’

This most likely is an example of a bespoke Moggy in production

Oh right, I get it. And the deLorean must be pretty unusual too. Which gets the most attention?
