I was using Google maps to find a statue of a woman in Stanley Street, Liverpool that supposedly represents Eleanor Rigby, the fictional character of the famous Beatle song. The statue wasn't there or the information I had was incorrect or I couldn't see it but I've found this: [img:center] https://goo.gl/maps/nBeE5nU5E3N2[/img] I wonder who the owner is. The plates are illegible(Google politics, I presume) but the car is fantastic...

Hi Daniel, I do not know who owns the car. It looks to be a Plus 4 Super Sport so that should narrow down the search.
The car has the Yellow outline on cowl and mini-lite wheels.

Daniel, try 34 Stanley Street on Google Map.
I found it by putting Eleanor Rigby statue into Google and then in the website used the google map street map icon to see her.

I don't think it's a P4SS. That green wasn't a standard colour and it has a spare wheel. It's also got over-riders rear but it looks like they've been removed at the front to fit the valance. It used to have a bonnet strap - look at the missing louvres, and through the rear window is what looks like four point harnesses. It came with an easy up hood (no turnbuckles on B panel) but now has a studded header rail and folding screen.

Even rarer with four wheels and no bricks In some parts of Liverpool a car passes its MOT if the bricks holding it up are in good condition. Most areas have "valet" parking"Look after yer car for a quid mister!" - not a question so much as an inference that if you want your car in reasonable condition when you return you will stump up. I believe it`s called the entrepreneurial initiative. On my first day of teaching in Liverpool a 13 year old asked me if I wanted a car radio. I replied that I didn`t have a car. " Get you one of them as well sir - what sort do you want?" Great kids & happy memories.

DaveW, happy to be corrected. I wonder if it belongs to anyone on here.

In the late 1980s, (in my last years of working for Land Rover), I remember having to visit the Merseyside Police Traffic Division. I arrived at the building (which doubled as a Police Station) in the outskirts of Toxteth. Parking my brand new Range Rover outside, I proceeded to go into the reception area. The first thing I noticed was that everything was bolted down; chairs, tables, even the ashtrays. The desk officer looked at me with grave suspicion, until I told him I had an appointment with the Traffic Superintendent. It was then that his expression changed to horror. "Is that your Range Rover outside Sir?" "I'll open the side gates and you better park it around the back, but be quick, or it will be gone"

My wife's cousin (a copper as it happens), was parking his car in a roughish part of Leeds some years ago when a 12 year old kid came up and offered to mind his car for £5. Mike told him that he didn't think it would be necessary, as his Rottweiler was in the car.
To which the little scrote replied "Oh. Good at fighting fires is he".
