One of the car sites I like to browse now and again is that of the Real Car Co in Wales. I was rather struck by this magnificent offering - a special based on the chassis of a MkVI with the V8 out of a T type, all wrapped up in a rather luscious 2 seater body. Yum. http://www.realcar.co.uk/view-cars/2227

That is lovely. I was surprised how cheap the early Rolls Royces are

That's a nice job. The seats and dash are a bit too modern for my liking and I'd prefer a manual gearbox, but those are personal choices. The bodywork is certainly well done. I assume it's aluminium ? Mk 6 Specials, if done well, are rather nice old things. Here's one I prepared earlier "The Warley Roadster" This one retained the original straight six engine though.

That is lovely. I was surprised how cheap the early Rolls Royces are I agree. They seem to be a lot less sought after than Bentleys of the same period. That blue 1929 20 HP Doctor's Coupé looks like a lovely and useable example for quite reasonable money.

There is some real beauties on there Giles.
I'm pleasantly amazed at the prices of the older Rollers and they have a lot of poise.

As an on looker, hard to see why some are dear and some cheap.

I was looking through some old copies of TV Times yesterday and found this in an August 1966 edition... Yours for 3 gallons of Mobil! I can't see them repeating that competition any time soon. ~iw
