I find that the black rubber pedal covers mark the sides of nice shoes as they spring back forward and glance the side of my feet so I only wear black driving shoes in the Mog

I buy custom-made flying boots from Conker shoes in Totnes. You can have them in whatever colour you like, and with a choice of soles.

Light, comfortable, beautifully soft leather, great for driving and perfectly ok for normal use too so you don't have to change when you get somewhere.

They'll make them to a standard size, or just draw round your feet and send them a template.

Best of all is the price: £210 a pair.

Aldi leather trainers about £10 - when they have them in - come in broewn and black. but then again the only shoes I buy over about £20 are my running shoes. It`s my Yorkshire upbringing!

I have some old trainer style leather shoes that are about 18 yrs old.
Light, really comfortable, soles still good. No idea what make but NOT designer so they were cheap to buy. Apart from one pair of new laces and a few polishes nothing else done. The wear on the soles mean there is plenty of “feel”. I love them. They are like a favourite pair of slippers. They are compact so no worry about pedal clearance.

Bought some mocassins made by Grensons from an ebay site. All leather inc leather lining. Great shoes and for those like me with dinner plate width feet, they come in extra wide fittings.

had no option. The pedals on the Ferrari were so close and my Clark's shoes broad so I couldnt operate the brake without also the accelerator. Found exactly the same issue on a Roadster I tried

This thread has just made me think. I dont have any particular driving shoes, but I've just realised that I have some Geox black leather trainers that are smart enough to wear with a suit (I use them for lunchtime walks to avoid wearing out my leather-soled shoes). They are narrow enough that they may be quite useful in the Morgan. I will have to try them.

Edit: these are the ones: https://www.johnlewis.com/geox-symbol-city-leather-trainers-black/p3296461

Plenty of grip on the sole. I wonder if you can get them in brown...
