I wonder how much getting a copy of your morgan book bound in leather which matches the upholstery of one of your mogs would cost. Could that be done for £75?

In any case Dave, best wishes for the retirement. I have no doubts at al that you’ll keep yourself busy !!

Good luck for the retirement - life starts here cheers.

I chose a Sligh wall clock from the available choice of gifts after 25 years with The Decca Navigator Co Ltd which has never been serviced and doesn't miss a beat and has a rather nice Westminster chime on it.

When GPS filled the Navigation void - our Government of the day decided it was best to rely totally on the USA for a navigation system so we shut down in 2000. The company took good care of us all with redundancy packages and expensive pre retirement courses so we were lucky or maybe 31 years of service was worth it.

Still trying to work out whether I could retire now.
Doesn't look viable if I wish to keep on visiting much of the UK.
However, if I can get into contracting for three years that would cover me until a couple of pensions kick in... smile

Nice clock Richard! thumbs

Thanks Graham.

Good luck with picking up a bit of contract work to bridge the gap.

Presume they won’t be road legal like the DB4s if they are exact replicas without modern compliance.

Even if they were it’s unlikely you would see one in the local Aldi car park anyway.

Here's a question. After 46 years I get a gift worth £75.
Can't be a voucher. Any suggestions?

Books are nice - how about that book featured in this months Miss-sell-nan-nanny ?

Rule Britannia when British Sports Cars ruled the World - that’s about £70

Had a flick through at The Classic Car Show - it’s a pretty tasty book
