You can't argue with the price of this. Savage depreciation, Italian good looks, Japanese build quality.

Would you go for the blown Alfa engine, ingenious design as it is, over the n/a Mazda unit.

Incidentally, the Mazda design is marginally light and better balanced.

One of the routes to cheaper motoring is to seek out the cars with most savage depreciation and buy at 18-24 months old. A quick check of Honest John to make sure that there are no serious flaws and away you go. You may not get the best driving experience but you will save money that can be redirected towards the Morgan in your life.

My experience of FIAT group cars has been rthat the mechanicals are quite good and its the ancilliaries like seals and seats and electr5onics that are unreliable. As I understand it the FIAT versions are finished in Italy which would put me off.

Post retirement, I bought my Citroen DS3 Cabrio at just under 2 years old.
12,300 miles and just below half full new retail price.

I'd rather go for this one and still a big saving of 5K with Mazda reliability and 1,000mls.

I did the same as Simon,

Last year I bought a DS4 - the 60th Anniversary model, 18 months old, with almost every toy you can imagine, 7,500 miles on the clock and around half the list price (but whoever pays the list price for Citroens?)

Yes I do like that colour.

They have a white one also available, you only have to wait a bit for the right colour to come on line.

Must say - having had the 2.0 litre MX5 for a few months - would not go back to a MOG at twice the price!
