The man maths work - it would never need replacing and would be capable of any task that the family required. Given a spreadsheet and half an hour and you could probably produce an argument that made it work out cheaper than a VW Golf.


Don't forget you can convert these engines to run on LPG and (on a 110) hide the tanks by building the internal rear wheel arch bulkhead up to the window line.

My 4.4 AJV8 JE converted 110 has the lowest cost/mile of all our little fleet - so the real-world maths works as well as the man-maths!
