Does anyone know who makes the factory black plain original steering wheel? I like the feel but not the looks and wanted to see what other options they might have.

I changed mine too. Slight issue is that with the 3 bolt type, options are slightly limited. I bought a 3-6 bolt adaptor which opens up many more possibilites. Got them both from Rally Nuts in Redditich - good quality and much less than demon Tweeks etc.
Have a look...

Try Europa Spares - cheaper than Demon Tweeks
Am I the only person who likes my black leather factory original wheel?

After several tries with other steering wheels, I returned to the original wheel. It feels comfortable and does not make my hands tired during a long drive. I did change the the mounting position so as to be able to see the tach while driving.

I too like the original wheel and have it turned round both to let me have a chance to see the instruments and it gives me a much more comfortable hand position.

The look of standard wheel can be improved by sticking a Morgan lapel badge in the centre.

Alternatively try Moto-Lita

I stuck a lapel badge on mine - also did not reverse the wheel but turned the tacho round -to the position ewhere if I can`t see the needle I`m in the red.

My M3W wheel had a lovely feel, with that thick rim to hold, but it didn't have the thumb 'spats' at the end of the wheel spokes and so was uncomfortable in the end.

The 'ten to two' position didn't help either, so like many others I tried turning it around to the 'twenty past and twenty to' position, but ultimately I yearned for a Brooklands.

I managed to get Donaldosaurus' leather covered Brooklands when he sold his car, and it was fabulous.

This wheel is now down under and giving sterling service I hope.

The original went back on the car when I sold on, but the QR hub was a three point as in the pics above.

As to who or where they are made, I'm afraid I have no idea
