Must also admit - we kept out fourth MOG as the MX5 is met with greets of - "Yes but it's not a Morgan!".

A Mog is twice the price isn't it?

This really revolves around the question of what an owner wants from their car. Personally, I do not want my toy to be a smaller edition of my day to day cars, it needs to not only look different on the road, but drive differently and more important - just be different. I'm guessing that is why many others have ended up with Morgans, even though they are expensive to buy, awful to drive and generally a throwback from another era.

When I get old I might consider an MX5.

But I might also consider an MGBV8.......

I have the best of both worlds then, no intention of getting rid of the 4/4 or the MX5. I also meet DaveW's age criteria.......

That sounds like a description of me, according to my daughter!

Our local garage, whom I trust, is selling an MGB V8 Roadster which he almost nut and bolt restored. Proper V8 with proper air intake and carburation.

I thought all real mgb v8s were gt models?
