I use "Waze" on my phone as I find it better than my sat nav. I needed some kind of holder so I ordered one of these this afternoon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gooseneck-Holde...ar+phone+holderAs the plug-in point on my + 4 is under the middle of the dash I thought that it could plug in and bend round to sit in front of the dash without any suctions. It either works or it doesn't but at a tenner it's worth taking a flyer.

Here are some pictures of my current solution. I hope to have some time to make a nicer looking one... But at the moment this works fine for me. Sat holder solution on TM Photo Gallery

When I use Waze, that annoying woman keeps announcing that she's recalculating. Can this bit of voice be disabled?

I use velcro - a line on the edge of a cheap phone case, and a matching line on the transmission tunnel, stuck on the back of the gear lever surround.
In the Aero my phone leans back nicely against the dashboard - with very few reflections, and stays put under hard braking.

When I use Waze, that annoying woman keeps announcing that she's recalculating. Can this bit of voice be disabled? On mime when it recalculates it just give a beep noise rather than a voice. Like Stewart I tend to keep the volume off but when it is on it is just a beep. A quick search of t'interweb seems to suggest that the volume is either all on or all off (could be wrong though).

Thanks for all your suggestions especially to exbiker Ian who gave me his nicely made option which clips to the post on the crash pad.

I pop mine between the "glove hole" (it has no lid) and the instrument cluster. The sucker works on the painted dash just fine.
