Wash and then dry off - still left with smudges!
Is there an easy solution - as don't wish to spend hours cleaning the car!

I do most of the 3 page washing and waxing instruction you'll find on here. But I often do an interim wash if there's a tiny speck of dust after driving the car. I thoroughly rinse and then use a 2 bucket system to wash the car (Williams use a 4 bucket system) This Xmas I got a large microfiber towel. And this completely dries the car, only getting wet all over towards the last strokes, when it leaves some moisture, which I dry with another microfiber. Takes 10 minutes. I have a witness who says it looks pretty good after that, and he's a Morgan owner.

Meguiar’s G3626EU Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax;available here - https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/-...EkaApQEEALw_wcBseems expensive, even at discount I know - but it is brilliant stuff I do know some Mog owners who rarely wash their cars, just use this. I tend to alternate, praticulary if the car is muddy, etc. A couple of microfibre cloths also needed for best results...... James

I found the best on our black Mog is Poorboys Black Hole which is brilliant, covers any swirl marks up and then the black wax and then the quick detailer for a quick clean in between.

That is what I use when I am asked to photograph a car that is for sale. You want to car to look good in the photo, but don't want to spend most of your shooting time just cleaning it. I get it done in about 30 to 40 minutes, including the interior ~(with a different product I hasten to add) I have used it on black Morgans a couple of times and it works well.

Its saddo this detailing, isnt it. I never used to wash my cars and bike - let God do it which isnt that problematic in wales. Then I bought my last car and fell foul of someone selling detailing bits and bobs. Just a shampoo and bug remover - at first. Now its clay bars and swirl remover and whats more even doing it on my wife's car.
And a couple of soft car covers! And leather balm and interior cleaner
Help!

If the car is new to you but with previous owners then I would suggest getting it back to zero otherwise you’ll never know what others have put on it and what’s making it difficult to clean Wash it clean with a good car shampoo - Autoglyms or Meguairs Don’t use a sponge - you’ll scratch it to hell, use a mit with a grit guard in a bucket Rinse it well with lots of running water (not jet wash) Dry Then clay to get all contaminants and previous products off Then polish - having terrific results with Meguairs Ultimate Polish - it’s much better in my opinion to Autoglyms Resin Polish Then wax to protect it Then just use Meguairs waterless wash and wax if it gets dirty or a Detailer if it just a tiny bit dusty I’m only intending to wash with water once a year unless I go mud plugging

After nine plus years I have never washed my Roadster with water. Even after road trips to Devon........... And Kent.
