This last weekend was "BRITS AT THE BEACH" Fri to Sunday

A gathering for british cars in a seaside location, Whangamata.

This town also hosts an annual "Beach Hop" for older American cars. So is quite the petrol head location

The brits mustered approx 200, but there has been so much on this month.
Whangamata is approx 180km from Auckland, so an easy trip for H3nri

Besides our modern M3W, there was a 1934 F type? and a couple of four wheelers

Pictures are a bit naf but you get the gist !

Starting to gather for parade through town

One I hadnt seen before, A Minor 1,000,000

In correct beach wear !!

Bonnets up display (okay Cowl off!!)

Very cool - I was intending to come over but ended up with too many jobs to do shifting all our belongings from Auckland to Whitianga

Hi Philip

Was a good weekend, especially enjoyed Shane doing Cliff Richard and Shadows covers. For man of his age he put high energy on stage for four hours!

Made it to and from Auckland without anything falling off!

Next show will be Mch 4th, British and Euro at Lloyd Ellsmere in Pakuranga

We saw Cliff and tbe Shadows at Blackpool when he turned the lights on. Probably late 50s.

Cold drive to Cahors yesterday (South West France). It was -2, but well wrapped up and with the heated seats it was bearable for 30 mins each way.

First drive I have done for any distance and any speed (other than local pottering) - only had the car a couple of weeks.

Lot of wind noise even with a helmet on - need to sort out some earplugs.

Chance to try out the new GoPro too !

Well done Colin coldest I've driven mine is +3C & I dont have seat heaters. If the car lives in France can you keep the UK registration number?

Yes I've only just got the car but will re-register it in France. I've already got the COC etc.

Buttocks were on fire by the end of the trip - the heated seats certainly do the job !
