Any thoughts and experiences on EBC green stuff brake pads? Suitability for normal road use. Less dust? Any better at not sticking to the discs following a rest in the wet? Longevity. Disc wear? Are they worth the extra money over standard pads? Anything better value?

The last pads I bought were Mintex from Merlin. Slightly cheaper than Green Stuff, I'm happy with them. Work well, not too much dust and no squealing. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/min...ous-mlb52-m1144 These for a 2000 reg 4/4, with 4 pot calipers.

I found Green stuff pads were more expensive than stock pads on my MX5, caused more brake dust, did not last as long as the standard pads and were no different from a braking point of view.
IMHO a waste of the extra money they cost compared to standard pads.

Not a big fan, had a set in the 4/4 which delaminated (friction material came away from the steel backing). Returned them to the factors from whence they came, got given another set and the same thing happened. Got a full refund and bought a set of Mintex M1144.

I would agree with above comments regarding green stuff pads, I tried them when sprinting hoping for more bite, went back to bog standard Ferodo, the only difference I saw with green stuff was more dust, nothing more.

I can say that I‘m happy with the green stuff pads on my 4/4. I can adjust the brake easily, they are much better than standard pads. But I have no experience with other brake pads.

To the best of my knowledge Green Stuff pads were aimed at the "spirited driving" and "track day" drivers.
If you do any track days then they may offer some slight advantage in terms of brake fade, however the majority of Morgan trads are well braked and if you suffer brake fade on the public roads I might suggest that you are driving a tad irresponsibly.
As others have said , they do produce a lot more brake dust, so this might sway your decision if you have wire wheels.

I didn't like green stuff and they glazed during a race.
I use Mintex M1155 on road and track. They are excellent, they are the next pad up from the M1144.

I've used Greenstuff before and felt most of the sales patter was 'hype'
Went back to genuine Ferodo, excellent OE quality & sill made in Chapel en le Frith in the UK

Forgot to mention that I have a 2011 plus4 and it seems that EBC is the only website that specifies a pad for this model. Looking at Ferodo, Mintex, et al, they don’t seem to have anything for this late a model. What makes do Morgan factory/dealers use I wonder?
