Strange problem I have been putting off solving. After repainting the bonnet and reassembling, sliding each side into the center trim, one side will open fully and the other side lifts a little less then half way. I have been holding up that bonnet half with a rod and servicing the carb side far too long. Any ideas for a proper fix.

Did you fit new hinge pieces, have you checked both ends to make sure they don't foul at the front cowl or the scuttle end? You may find scuffed paintwork to point you towards the problem area.

Thanks for your advise. Same hinge pieces. The car is a Flat Rad, a detail I did not mention. I will need to remove the bonnet as a unit to look in more closely.
