Hi there, I found this on ebay and wonder if anyone has purchased one of these Morgan models made of proper tin plate? I ask because I have seen many car models in tin plate from China that really do not or in any stretch of the imagination, form a scale model and are crude in depiction and construction. This looks a bit crude Peter. Don't think you could call it a scale model...
Headlamp nascelles, windscreen frame, grille are not right - no doubt there's other bits too.

Cheers, Thats what I thought Graham, to crude to take a chance. Franklin mint make superb models, have one of a MG TD, bought many years ago

Ahh yes. They do.
I have a Harley Davidson FLSTC from them.
Had the real thing once, reckon the model is made from better materials...

I have several Franklin Mint models - all superbly built. Pity they never made a Morgan (to my knowledge).
I haven't had any contact with them for a while. I believe their UK base was in London's Docklands area. Are they still around?

Went to Beaulieu today, and they had one of these for sale in the shop. Having now seen it in the flesh (or should it be "tin") it looks no better than the picture!!!! Certainly didn't inspire me to buy it.

Yes I have one - it is quite large 14" long - quite rough and not very accurate, but looks very authentic it has 'presence', looks good in a display cabinet.
