The easiest way to blank off the oiler system is at the 3-way union on the firewall. Take the two oiler pipes out, remove the olive and the union nut, and bung a ΒΌ" steel ball into the body of the union. Then you can tighten the union nut up and block off the exit.
That way you don't have to strip out the foot button or the feed to the oil pressure gauge.

I fitted a pair of tapered brass plugs (from Tim Ayres) to block mine.

I could never figure out why you would use engine oil to "gease" as the oil would tend to wash the grease out.
I have had no problems.

Frank [/quote] That's why I stick with it on my Plus 8 - if it's good enough for Peter Morgan it's good enough for me. Both my Plus 8's have done well using this system with care. These remote greasing systems have had a few problems according to posters on here too. It is essential to get under for a spanner and visual check too so why not do it properly. Another reason being that I like keeping my cars as original as possible - I don't like badges, spotlights and bits of neoprene and plastic everywhere, I prefer the clean look. I can't say that the prospect of having 1/4" balls is particularly appealing either  .

I wonder what? Not used damper blades nor oiler for 15 yers and many, many miles on all 3 of My Morgans. Works for Me. But "Original" is "Original". I hope the air in the tyres are "Original".

As an "originality nut" myself,....  it's Morgan kingpin oiler and damper blades forever Bill. I did however elect to change out the air in B1800's tire tubes a few years ago, after I detected a slight staleness in it's odor.  Cheers!
