Perusing the various websites on the lookout for a Roadster, and there hardly seems to be any used ones coming up - lots of new or very nearly new. Thorne's has a nice looking black number, and there is a metallic blue up in Cheshire, but that's it! Is it just the time of year or are there really no sellers right now?

18 months ago there were plenty secondhand Roadsters but just as there is an oversupply in the secondhand arena the actual numbers were not that high, say 20 or 30 cars. They took a while to sell but they now appear to be in owners hands and staying there for a while.

The cost of new ones are hitting and going through £60k and a new well specified Plus 4 can easily hit over £55k therefore these secondhand Roadsters are now great value compared to new and the owners are holding on tight.

You on the other hand have noticed that.

I wonder if the increase is due to the fact that at last the realisation is dawning on people that theses are the last of the real cars and not autonomous vacuum cleaners grin2.

Maybe it's just trying to peg the price to a new one, who knows.

A good condition 1973 +8 recently sold locally "downunder" for A$100,000 and there are now very few on offer compared to two years ago.
