Someone at work has just bought an Evoke thing, but it's only 2WD - what on earth is the point of that ???

People aren't interested any more. They spend most of their time in heavy traffic on highly-regulated roads driving out of necessity rather than desire.

They want comfy seats, good aircon, a nice sound system, and a bonnet badge that doesn't lose them credibility in the office carpark snobbery league.

The idea of having fun by chucking a light simple sports car around on a quiet country road is simply alien to them.

It's an understandable view as well these days.
