I found that Tarka seems to have collected a rash of tar spots on the side of the wings.
So, how best to remove them?
There are a range of expensive products that claim to do it, but I've also been told that good old WD40 will do the job.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem and what is the collective thought on the best solution?

WD40 or ACF50, allow to soak if patience permits, don't rub hard or far in case there is grit in it!!

I use Auto Finesse Oblitarate. Works well on any sticky stuff, tar, etc. Is gentle on paintwork - follow instructions & don`t use in hot sunlight unless you are very careful.
