Hi, there are several owners with a split hinged cowl.
Is this something that was undertaken yourself, or is it dealer orientated?
Is there a resource to allow you to do it yourself ?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

John.

I have seen 3 cars with this feature all at the Jungfrau Treffen, 2 of them were done by ABT Automobile who is one of the Swiss Morgan dealers not sure of the third. It seems a fairly straightforward mod, there is a bracket to support the cowl and the bonnet is cut along it centre line and hinged with piano hinge

A wonderfully executed modification. Why is there a vent cut in the side ?

Didn't the punk steam one have a similar arrangement bonnet wise I seem to recall from the photos.

I believe it's the jet air cleaner. Check out www.favorite-cycles.de
I like it, too.

Yes the other 2 I have seen were the Steampunk versions.
Further to my previous post they were not done by ABT but by Avus in Switzerland.

+ 1 AND at the same time, re-engineer and move the oil tank to a new location over the steering column, reposition the battery slightly and you would end up with a decent 'frunk' for a medium sized holdall.

+1 too... although a front boot is a more appopriate term for a Brit car (if not the ‘froot’ abbreviated form wink )

Noted the good size tool bag held in place with angle pieces in these photos... looks more appropriate than the “locker” from Morgan et al.
