I'd like to see a curved cutout hinged door panel above the oil tank to enable quick top ups - closed with flush mount over centre panel lever fasteners.
Maybe when I'm retired & Ive got spare time

+1 too... although a front boot is a more appopriate term for a Brit car (if not the ‘froot’ abbreviated form  ) Noted the good size tool bag held in place with angle pieces in these photos... looks more appropriate than the “locker” from Morgan et al. Ha Ha, yes 'froot' has a certain ring to it! BTW, I suspect that that wire mesh blister on the bonnet is to clear that impressively large toolbox!

Does anyone have a photo of one of these machines with the bonnet closed?
I've done all the prep work to split my own cars' bonnet (separated bonnet from cowl, fabbed cowl mounting brackets, designed forward Dzus bracket, etc), but am concerned that there is a slight curve fore to aft along the hinge line. I'm struggling to imagine a hinge that would function when installed with said curve. I am therefore reluctant to break out the metal saw until I have a clear understanding of what works and what doesn't.

Not the same car but another by the same person I think. The hinge looks straight to me. A lot of work goes into achieving this "worn" look, very clever.

Yes, the hinge looks straight, but when you lay a straightedge along the bonnet touching the center of the bonnet, there is about .2" (5mm) gap at each end, at least on my car.
Perhaps I just need a "sloppy" hinge.
