Rubber hoses and similar bits - I use Autoglym Rubber and Vinyl restorer. Having used it for years I'm still impressed at the seemingly magic results. Does that work on tyres?

My solution, which did not receive TM approval, was to spray engine with "Simple Green", a heavy duty detergent, and then use My electric pressure washer. Works for Me. But My engine bay is very functional, not a work of art.
