I really like the amber fog/spot lights. Especially the clean look, not being mounted on bumper or overrider mount.
Curious how these are fitted and whether that can be done as a retrofit with some nice amber Marchal or Cibie lights. (at reasonable costs)
Has anyone seen a close up picture of this? Looks like a standard black spot bracket drilled to the wing with a hole and grommet for the wiring above They look great, but would have like to have seen them integrated into the bodywork with a bit more finesse - colour coded moulding maybe like the number plate surround.

How much was a Series One Aero when it was introduced..? I've had chance to do some digging & it was in excess of £55k at the time, around 15/18yrs ago. They seem to go now for an awful lot less than this nowadays..? They dropped to somewhere around £31k+ (for a higher mileage example - but I only ever spotted one at that low level) - I did look at the time. Haven't seen one below £40k for a while, but I stopped looking after factoring in it having to live outside and the maintenance costs...

Sure and maybe will sell at that. We have also had some lovely examples on this thread of owners getting more than they paid. Bought seconhand? Lower priced cars? 4/4's and the like? Anyway I recall a Talk Morganer advertising his current model Plus 8 on here. Did it sell eventually? http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/492383/NEWSFLASH_-_PLUS_8_PRICE_REDUC#Post492383

[quote=Peter I'm less sure...
Williams Morgan offered me more than I paid for Tarka against a new 50th Anniversary edition. The replacement value for insurance is £15k more than the price I paid, based on similar Plus 8s that have been sold by UK dealers in the last 12 months. Logic not 100% correct here Peter. The cost from a dealer includes their warranty which a car an owner has if a few years old and is usually out of warranty. Will an insurance company pay for what they call betterment as the owner would be getting a warranty on the replacement car at dealer prices while the one it replaces is usually out of warranty. I think they would pay less to make up for that. You never know!

The value of my morgan was insured on this basis.

The insurance should pay the dealer price to replace your car (retail) an agreement I have. The value of my morgan was insured on this basis. That is the basis of most car insurance. When my Son's Clio was written off the insurance company loss adjuster identified 3 similar cars for sale within 50 miles of here and averaged the price. It was very fair and allowed him to buy a new one. My view is that only if the car is sufficiently rare to make it difficult to achieve a proper market valuation is it worth having an agreed value in place. Many, but not all, Morgans will fall into that classification.

Or do as I did and source enough used Morgan parts to make a +8. But be forewarned the Residual Value will be the Market Price of Scrap Metal. The total cost of such an endeavor would probably pay for a "Proper Factory" used +8 that would have a bit better Residual Value. Not sure but suspect this could not be done in the UK or Canada. Not an "Economic Choice"!

I see one of the fifty build slots is available via the Aston Workshop for £150k. A little above the £105k list price but you do get a free watch of course!!
