That's a good analogy.
Couldn't agree more.

The BBC had a genuine opportunity to re-boot the franchise, but feared being second best to TGT, and feared changing the format, and maybe because of the stiff interactions between the three, are doing too much road trip, and not much else.
There are far better car programmes on Quest etc. Not so sure about Wheeler Dealers though!!

Well I have to say I did enjoy most of this weeks Japanese themed episode. I even enjoyed some of the TG Extra content. Credit where it is due.
I even detected some comfort and camaraderie between Chris and Matt in the two car challenge.
It would be good to see them do the same in places like Korea, Australia and others with a strong car culture. Given the rate of change in China around cars this could be very most of a season!
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I agree. The third episode was watchable, but I don't like to see perfectly good cars trashed for no reason. The yellow RX7 was gorgeous before they trashed it.
I'm not sure about Rory though. He's a bit wooden.
This is my problem. The old Top Gear, especially the earlier series were watchable again and again.
The new incarnation encourages some fast forward and doesn't really appear to be rewatchable.

I would have liked to see a bit more of the auction. What else was for sale? How much did things sell for? I’m finding the seizure inducing editing annoying as well, why can’t they just film the thing properly instead of jumping from camera to camera every two seconds?

I find it quite viewable provided I don't expect too much from it, now I understand the demograph it is aimed at helps as well. Most of all I'm heartily relieved I don't have to listen to the ageing 3 musketeers I'd like to have had a good look around that auction I must say there was some really nice looking cars there.

Reading that so far Amazon have not commissioned a third GT season and Clarkson is to host the reboot of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”. Struggling to imagine it
