Hi Nick, knock the red mushroom over: loose score for the round, knock the black mushroom over and loose total score.

Thanks. I think I’ve got the rules down. I should have said I’m trying to get good. It’s a pretty fun game. I’m surprised it’s not more popular

It seems others know of this pool game, but other than regular and bumper pool, I've not seen this table before.

What is it?

The table looks to be about the same size or just slightly larger than a bumper pool table.

Kind of like miniature golf on a pool table?

Interesting...

Dan, as per the label on the near end of the table - it's called Bar Billiards.

It's not very known at all over here. Finding a table was hard because there aren't many here and they aren't always listed as Bar Billiards. Sometimes the person selling doesn't even know what it is. I enjoy unusual games with interesting rules, and read about this one and have been looking for one for a while.

It's timed, you play for points but you don't get those points until you bank them by getting a non-fouling shot. So if you knock over a red mushroom with 300 non-banked points you don't get any, and if you knock over the black mushroom you loose all banked points as well.

Then there's the final ball rules, where(I'm going to simplify the case to make this readable Full rules ) if the last player's are close enough the losing person can hit the ball into the 200 slot and win. It leads to lots of fun moments where scores swing wildly and losers become winners.

The timer mechanism was disabled. I had planned on building a prop for the top which lifts up to access it, since the timer and coin box are under that heavy thing and the current prop is the worlds flimsiest 80 year old piece of wood. I ended up fixing it while contorting in such a way that my head never went under the top and my arms stretched to the max to reach the parts.

Nor I. A lovely game, perfect for confined spaces. They used to have a table in a couple of the local pubs (Bell at Sapperton, Royal Oak at Leighterton) but they went years ago.

It's a shame too, it doesn't seem like they're making new tables. It's very approachable to play, although I think you'd need someone to tell you the rules. A video was easier to make sense of than reading just reading them.

At the factory getting a new bevel box input shaft oil seal fitted , and collecting a set of front brake pads.
Also trying to find info about the “new formula” compensator rubbers 😁
