Does anyone have experience of attaching a Boot-Bag to a trad Morgan rack?
I just received one for my birthday, and I think I understood it, but I'd like to know for sure. Any takers please?[/i][i]

Stuart,
I use a Dry Bag ( which is normally used for cloths when sailing )
I attach it using the usual straps which have the male and female clips. Put the running end through the loops on the rack so they cant slip off and just tighten.
I have had no problems at do doing this.
Here for a good time not a long time!!

Yes, I've got a Boot Bag and have used it on many occasions. The diamond-shaped reinforced base goes onto the rack and can be secured by the straps left and right, which will clip into the catches on the top of the bag after passing around the carrier frame. The longer adjustable straps pass around the whole bag to tighten it and the contents. A third strap, from the diamond, clips around a lower rail of the carrier. It will be easier to figure it out if you already have something in the bag to give it some shape. I hope this helps. Take a look at the website for examples of bags in situ. http://www.boot-bag.com/

Nice present.
We use ours a lot and (so far) have had no issues with water getting in.
Easy to fit using the two longitudinal and one lateral strap. I put bag on rack and then thread straps under the rack and pull each one tight after threading through the buckles.
Straps are more than long enough so I wrap them round the tight straps to stop them flapping around in the wind.
I found it helped to cut a fairly thick piece of card to fit inside the bag to act as a floor, stops bag oozing through rack and makes it easier to lay clothes out in the bag.

I use a Dry Bag ( which is normally used for cloths when sailing ) Likewise (as a white water kayaker I do have a couple to choose from) but my choice every time would be for an Overboard bag, cheaper than the boot bag , and takes 130 litres, and I can vouch that it is totally waterproof , even on (thankfully brief) total immersion. https://www.over-board.co.uk/waterproof-ninja-duffel-bag-130ltr-black.html
