seem to me to be quite a lot for sale given the numbers manufactured. Am I right? Is this a sign on people cashing up in the face of the economy / brexit etc. Or am I wrong about the numbers.

I agree : a lot for sale...but I don't know why.As a French I don't think that it 's because of Brexit... I notice that some classic cars are for sale too for reasonable prices and are not quick to be sold...

I've looked on car and Classic and 22 are listed.

At least 2 of these I know are sold and are constantly showing on the site in order to draw in buyers.

From what Steve Morris said 2000 aeros have been produced so does 1% of total volume = a lot for sale?

I bought a replacement in November Graham and i want it garaged, so the aero needs to go.

Who feels the figure of 2,000 Aero’s is correct? Unless large amount of S4 &5’s made.

Even including plus8’s sounds a lot.

If you want to sell a soft top this is seen as the time of the year to do it.

PT Sportscars, who are a Caterham specialist, have a showroom crammed with cars for sale. They tell me that business is up on last year, many of the cars are waiting delivery and they need more stock.

Its quite understandable that Brexit doesnt really affect the mood in France but here in the UK, with the population split right down the middle, there is nervousness about the future. The UK is not a happy country and this is being reflected in the business on the high street. .

I thought that MMC produced something like 1000 cars a year of all types so that since the Aero arrived in 2001 it will have made 17000 cars. Would 1 in every 8 be an Aero? Seems unlikely to me. Even if it was the case, how many would have been exported? I'm sure I read a 50% figure somewhere.
