About two hours roof down driving today to a client's premises and back. The weather was great and the noise of the v8 glorious. It's great to be back using the s1 for 'normal' use ... lots of waves and thumbs up ...

Finally got Tarka out for a drive.
Really glorious, I do love the car! Roll on the spring. happy3

Entering a roundabout in Salisbury, slightly up hill and on a dry road I was a bit excited and gave it a bit more throttle than needed. Pronounced back end wiggle... the LSD does seem to work! evil

But the rear tyres are down to about 1.5mm above the wear bar and the date code is Week 36, 2013. I think they were fitted new when I got Tarka in late 2014, with 15,000 miles on it. I've added 20,000 miles, so they have done reasonably well!
Going to be expensive as I'll have to replace all 4......

Peter

Don't forget that the last 2mm are designed to be burnt up. Its the law ! Big number 11 on a road somewhere.

Mine still slumbers.... the lane to my house is like the Somme, almost impassible in a Range Rover. The first MOT is due next week, so I shall have to venture out. frown

I'll be taking Tarka across town to Old Sarum Airfield to meet up with the 3 Wheeler pilots for breakfast, and then a trip round the BDAC.

THIS is a museum that is focussed on aircraft that flew from Boscombe Down.

Well worth a visit... visitors are encouraged to climb into the Cockpits and play.

Crikey with aircraft that were current for my time getting some in, does that qualify me as a museum exhibit?

Nice to get the roof off - meet with York’s Morgan at Buckles Inn then scenic run to Eden Camp Museum at Malton.

Barnsley to Curborough taster day in the Aero S1. I did not take it to the limit but found the breaks really good. The track was dry and the back end was easy to catch on the couple of occasions it wagged. If I was to compare it to my 4/4 I would say the handling is similar but smoother. Oh and the aero is faster.
I have been told that later Aero cars have even better breaks?
