This little engine featured in a post sometime ago. It’s now nearly finished, so after a month in the paint shops we now have an ex-works engine, called “Mons Meg”. This engine was named after the medieval bombard (cannon) resident in Edinburgh Castle and the engine, when new, visited Kings Cross a few times - it should look at home on the Model Railway Club layout, Copenhagen Fields. Few more little jobs to do and weathering, but today I’ll probably make the cab windows on the MRC Demonstration Stand at our exhibition at Ally Pally. She’s six inches long.  Tim

Very nice Tim. As an enthusiastic planning an N gauge Welwyn North c.1930 I am well aware of the Copenhagen Fields layout and in awe of it!

Electric, would be a bit of a challenge to make it in steam! However, the valve gear is fully working in forward or reverse gear. The engine is as long as a pencil.
