That's common on all of my cars that I've owned in the past many years.

My '16 Terrain will do that just overnight if it's raining outside.

By the time I back out of my driveway the surface rust is gone.

If your rotor is getting surface rust in other places than the pad wear area, you can paint the rotors and that works quite well. Of course do not paint the wear areas. smile

Kirk, here are a few staring places.

Eastwood is huge in restoration and other car repair/paint concerns.

The bottom line is that probably any hi-temp paint will do the job.

Kirk, If you washed the car before you put it away for the winter, there was probably moisture present. Even my Corvette will do that if I wash it an put it away without driving it to heat up the rotors and get rid of moisture

The problem was a winter where several times we had a 40 degree swing in temps in a week. Major condensation.
