Hi everyone
Could any one assist me please as I would like to do some research into the K& N air filter and oil filter for my car but do not know the correct model/part numbers and I was wondering if anyone out there would know please. My morgan is a 2010 4/4 1.6
Also if anyone has tried other air filters and what you have found to offer the best for all round performance.

Thank you in advance 🙃

In test I have seen but cannot remember the link, the K&N oil filter was a pretty average performer and no better or for that matter worse than any other after market filter.

I suggest that if the K&N filter is more than 50p more than any other after market oil filter you do not buy it.

With regards to the air filter it is unlikely that there will be a measurable increase in performance unless someone can post performance numbers before and after the K&N was used.

All users who purchase these items always say they can feel a difference but they would do at the price they have paid.

Bobster, I don‘t have the number of type at hands but if you have a look at the number of your current paper filter google or the K&N page should help you. If you don‘t have a Fomoco filter you should perhaps find the Fomoco number first by comparing with yours and then you go to the K&N page. This way I found my K&N type for the Sigma 4/4 engine.

Russell Paterson at Revolutions in Perth used to do an induction kit specifically for the 1.6 Sigma engine so it might be worth giving him a call on 01737444004.

My Roadster didn't have an air filter ex factory just the box & the filter couldn't have fitted as the flash on the moulding made it impossible to fit.
I fitted a K&N as they are a lifetime product, perhaps they add a few BHP as well.

You will find the K&N part number in this thread. I have fitted this to my 2011 4/4 and other 4/4s of similar vintage.

I have had K&N air filters on my +8 for 20+ years. Happy with the product and the decluttering of the engine bay.
