Hi there, I have a 2013 4/4 with a Bluemel Brooklands steering wheel fitted. I am currently trying to remove the steering wheel because the horn is not working. I have undone the 4 bolts surrounding the horn. However, having done that, I've now discovered that bolts were fixed by captive nuts contained in the boss directly behind the wheel. Can anyone advise on the best way to now tighten up the bolts, since the captive nuts have slipped? Or provide some sort of fitting/assembly guide? Here's an image: https://imgur.com/a/04kebThanks, Marcus

I imagine you lever out the horn push & with a box spanner remove the wheel. Then you can fit the nuts again & reassemble. If you are near HP16 you are welcome to borrow my box spanner which might fit. The issue you may face is with the wheel loose how do you hold the wheels fixed whilst undoing the box nut. Maybe a bar through one of the holes.

Alternatively maybe you can remove the cowl & hold the nuts with a socket to get going.

Johns first method is the correct one. I regularly swop my Brooklands wheel with a leather rimmed motolita as I can’t decude which one I like best! 🙄
You should be able to pull back the leather shroud to access the nuts behind the boss flange to tighten up the four bolts. Fiddly.
