I don't plan on breaking down in my 1960 Plus 4, but will probably do so at the worst time and in the worst place. Is there any I should be aware of when it comes to getting a Morgan towed on a truck? l hope it never happens! Thanks.

Only things I can think of are:
1. They don't use the steering rod to pull the car onto the truck - I saw this happen on a car which was being consigned to an auction house!
2.The clearance between the rear number plate valence and the ground as its being winched up the ramps.
3. They tie it down properly......

Assuming the Morgan has been loaded on to a truck without issue then there is no issue here.
If on the other hand the car is actually being towed on it's wheels then there is always the worry about the gearbox as some of the gears will be turned not them all and there may not be enough splash lubrication but I have never had that issue if it actually exists.
Mazda specifically advise that the MX5 is not towed any distance with the driving wheels on the ground but they do not explain what the issue is.
One of the MX5 racing teams have rebuilt gearboxes and advise that the input shaft causes some low in the box gears to turn an cause splash lubrication which is caught and distributed to the gearbox bearings. The input shaft would not turn during towing is the box would be in neutral.
That may or may not be an issue in your car.

I was told by someone who knows his stuff that if you tow using the towing eye on one side of the chassis, if you get a hard jerk it can pull the chassis out of line.
I think the lower front cross tube may be a better bet if clearance permits.
