Just reading the many posts on here, there are very few, who post, that appear to have ordered and spec'ed from new in the past two years. Someone is buying them.

The majority on here, me included, have no plans to change their Morgan.

If there was a mini-aero, as described by Gambalunga, what price point would you replace your existing Morgan and order and spec a new one?

They'd have to pay me quite a lot.

Me too! I haven't got anywhere near sufficient savings to consider another Morgan. Or any other car, come to that. What I've got should see me out.

Ian,
I did spec and buy a new Morgan 30 mths ago but that will be my last. If they don't significantly change, I can see no point and if they do significantly change, I probably wouldn't want one so if there are any other Morgan lovers like me I can foresee a big problem for the company in the coming years.

Very interesting thread with some great posts. Well done TM'ers Howard, Peter and The Austrian in particular.

Well I think everyone can see my attitude towards improving the breed. I'm pretty happy with the car as it is at the moment and would probably not make any more changes.

But.....

I keep thinking about that 2.5 engine and I certainly wouldn't mind a double wishbone front suspension however the costs would not really be justified.

I doubt I would buy a new improved Morgan, particularly considering the ever rising prices, however I would certainly be tempted.

It's all very well eulogising about the future, but the bottom line is that markets change more frequently through environmental and political pressures, and Morgan must tread very carefully as always. It's one thing building them, another thing selling them in changing markets around the globe and that's without competitors challenging for the hard earned pounds..

I just wish I had a fiver for every time someone suggests how Morgan could 'change'..!!

Absolutely, but what exactly is wrong with a bunch of enthusiasts, who dearly love the marque, kicking ideas around about what they could do?

It's not like anyone is criticising MMC's management, as you and others have pointed out they are entirely capable of making their own business strategy and have the track record to prove it.
