This month we mostly focus on gearbox building because we can't build a frame without gearbox.



We got a second set of details cut by laser; will need one more set to be done - partially for fake engine and partially for small decorative body parts and gearbox parts. We start matching frame tubes and lugs. Found gearbox clutches from old soviet bike, they will be used in our gearbox, which will save time.



We bought an engine 60v1500w, because planned 48v1000w engine was not available at the store and we were told it is lower quality than available engine. We ordered brake bands for 6 inch GoKart brakes from USA, they will be used for rear band brakes.





Regarding the battery, we found ready 48v35ah battery from a project which wasn't implemented, so we decided to buy it and it will save time on production. Production of charging device for it will take up to 1-2 weeks.

Found where to buy tyres, tybes and rims for 26 inch wheels - special thanks to Morgan archivist who provided me with links on where to buy rims and also hub drawings. His help is really invaluable.

Can't find the boa constrictor horn used on the original replica so we will try to find another horn of this era and suggest it to the Client.

You said in an earlier post that the original 1500W motor you were going to use was too big to fit in the correct position and you would have to use a 1000W motor.
It now appears that you are going to use a 1500W motor but as you state above it is a 60 Volt motor but the battery you are going to use is only a 48V. How well will the 60V 1500W motor run on 48V.

We will remove reductor from the engine which will decrease its length to the acceptable level. We don't need the reductor as we have a gearbox instead.

60v engine will be used with 48v controller, it is possible to use higher voltage engines with lower voltage controllers. It will just provide less power to the engine meaning that engine will run slower. 48v controller is compatible with 48v battery.

After 2 months of preparations, half of the frame was assembled in 10 hours. Also gearbox case is almost assembled. As you can see, 1.5kwt engine fits properly after removal of reduction part. Produced a lot of small parts for fake engine and other decorative parts (as pedals etc.)

Great progress thanks very much it looks a really strong construction .

We continue assembling gearbox, fake engine, steering system, produced rear brake drums, etc.
