Absolutely.
I don't know that side of the country, so all photos are welcome (to show me what I'm missing!) smile

The art of taking good photographs is nothing at all to do with the camera and everything to do with the eye behind the camera.

You have a great eye, Ewan!

To enjoy the roads and places where Ewn is taking these pictures you need to add the NE250 to your itinerary. (It does exist look it up). You will not regret it.

I didn’t know about that NE250 thing Andy, there is even a Morgan featured on the site! https://www.northeast250.com/2017/10/08/...north-east-250/

I wouldn’t know where to start when it comes to recommending a route, the official version understandably tries to visit many towns and avoid single track roads.
I usually try to avoid main routes and use all sorts of detours and back roads. Since this is done without any planning or research, I do sometimes end up on someone’s private driveway. The good thing about that is, everybody is always happy to meet the Morgan.

Andy, and Ewn, thanks for the tip on on the NE250. I've had a quick look at the route and the thing is, if my plan becomes reality we will take a ferry from Holland and then drive north from Newcastle or Harwich so we will do quite a bit of the NE250 before even launching ourselves on to the NS500. It's a big adventure for an old Morgan, even before we get to Scotland, and will take some planning and a considerable sum of Euros. Last year I had a close look at that area between Inverness and Aberdeen from a light aircraft - at low level due weather - and we had a nice stay in the countryside as well. It will be good to see it all from Morgan level and all being well we should make it next year.

Plans for a small scale visitor centre in The Cabrach, the whole area has a very interesting history, most of which, I knew nothing about.

It was in the news this week , the owner, London based entrepreneur, Christopher Moran, being criticised for preventing development in the area. It’s a difficult situation, somebody has to own the land and the beauty comes from the vast, wild and uncultivated lands.

If you’re worried about Armageddon, here’s something you can visit this year in The Cabrach,
