Needing new tyres I took out the top mounting bolt of the mud guard & slackened the two lower bolts but did not touch the stay. It was tight but I got the wheels with new Blockleys back on & dont remember having to deflate the tyres.

Once i got my big breaker bar in the mail the nut came right off, I did have to completely remove the fender, though!

Good news Draggin - you can't beat a bit of extra leverage.
A pity about having to remove the fender though.

Well... he sent me a new one and it fits both sides. Seems my left side is a smidge too fat. So, the first one he cut me is yours simply for the price of shipping. First person to respond on here with “I’ll take it!” is the winner! USA only.
