A shot on the Mille Miglia I would have enjoyed, covered in patina in the real world, models belong in cases.

The glass case reminds me of the car's "garage" in the film, so seems like a good way to display it.

Speaking about Ferrari 250 Calif's, in my latest visit to Joe Macari's emporium of dreams, I noticed that the black ex. James Coburn car has been sold so some lucky devil is living the dream.
Just by way of compensation though, he does have 2x Mura's, 2x 275 Spyders and a 250 SWB. amongst all the other wonderful cars.
Here for a good time not a long time!!

Years ago, I had a friend who had (or more correctly, her father had) a 1959 California with a Scaglietti body similar to this one but with driving lights recessed behind the front grille. Same engine as this one (I think they later notched them up to 3.3 litres and 300 BHP). That girl was not short of admirers.

I’d shot this for the BBC about 3-4 years ago. Talacrest BIG. Money cars there. Incidentally it took about 15 mins of warming up before the 250 in the end shot could pull away cleanly. Simon
