Lunch in a pub. If you go to Greenwich (2d stop on the train from London Bridge) be sure to take the boat back. Grab a ‘Boris’ bike and the town is yours.

All great suggestions, except, Scotsmen drink iron bru, not coke!

I fancy the Ferrari exhibition for one and Oxo tower or shard for a meal. The cost of the meal doesn’t matter, I’m accustomed to paying for a family of four, it’s amazing how good you can be to yourself when you’re on your own!

This, definitely. And as it goes from Paddington you can go to the Victoria, which is a 5 minute walk down London Street, straight across from Paddington. One of my favourite London pubs, it does great Fuller's ESB.

And if you like a good curry, the Noorjawan opposite is truly excellent.

Just remember that if you go down this route you need to rid yourself of all three before airport security.

If you like planes Hendon is good. Bit of a devil from there to LHR so plan if you are going. A walk around Camden market if the traffic is light.

Take the M4 out. My daughter lives in London - well she says its Surrey but its withing the M25 so its London to me. Every time I visit I am reminded of a human ant heap. The only thing it has going for it IMO are the theatres and the road back to civlisation here in Wales

If you go to Greenwich this pub is next door RHS on the embankment if you face the river.
