I think it is expensive...

A 2002 Aero car with less than 5000 miles will have age decay related issues.
For example, we all know how costly it can be to deal with many of them, especially the power steering pump seals.

A 2003 car is available at £44,000 with 16,000 miles from Brands Hatch and £60k is asked by Richard Thorn for a 2008 Auto with 25,000 miles. It also has Aeromax wheels: rather tasty, actually and a far better buy.

Peter, I'm with you. However if car came with a comprehensive guarantee, plus claim in ad that car is immaculate, for someone who's after a very low mileage car.....

Cheers

Sure but a low mileage expensive car is a sort of trap as I found with the fezza. To keep a premium price on resale you need to keep the mileage low so you cant use the car in a relaxed "whenever" sort of way.

Bit the same with the "immaculate" bit. You end up being precious about the car

Agreed, and this is what seems completely bizarre to me about the whole 'flash car' thing. What's the point of owning a car you can't drive whenever you fancy? There's not even any poser value if it sits in the garage all its life and no-one ever gets to see it.

Spend less money and buy a car that you can use and enjoy. Then spend the money you have saved on guitars, cameras, bicycles, or any of the other things you can enjoy when not driving.

Agreed. I may not use my toy cars that much, but I will take them anywhere. They have to be capable of touring hols. I don't worry about mileage or resale value. Life is too short.

And I can't play the guitar innocent

That's okay Dave, you can spend the money you have saved by not buying a Ferrari on model railway stuff instead smile

The problem is that when MrsW worked Saturday mornings, my railway stuff arrived Saturday mornings.

See the problem?
