Welcome to TM.
Wishing you many happy and safe miles together.
You have some brilliant Morgan roads in Austria - I hope you do not have to wait too long to enjoy them.

Servus Franz and sorry for being so late to the welcoming party. You have bought a great Morgan and will never regret it. There is a small group of us around Vienna who are ready to help you or just join you on an "ausflug" if you feel the need. Hannes, who has already welcomed you on this forum, is a good person to know. And yes, Kössler and co in Trumau do their best to keep us on the road and their end-of-season party is a must so I hope we see you there in November. Safe and enjoyable travels. Kerry. PS Your mention of the Vienna-Hamburg train has aroused my interest. Sadly the Wien-Düsseldorf no longer tuns so this might prove an option for me.

Thanks for the warm welcome all! Will send more pictures as soon as I am allowed to. @Hannes: No, I rather like the RHD. I will build some kind of contraption to get into parking garages, other then that I dont see any issues. Even while overtaking visibility is still okay and I have to relearn gear changing anyway after almost 8 years of driving auto. Regarding Schönbrunn: I took over the rental car on a friday evening so I had to park somewhere safe before starting our trip the next day. A friend of mine actually lives in Schönbrunn (there are a few flats in the so called Hietzinger Viereckerl, the former servants quarters) and gave me a guest pass so I could park there. "Unfortunately" if you want to leave after 21.00 or before 08.00 you need to do so via the main gate. So we went in there about 07.00 and could take a quick picture before leaving.

I reached out to the Morgan Sportscar Club of Austria, hoping to drop in on one of their next Stammtisch Events and get to know the community. Other then that there seems to be a an English Sportscar Club in Vienna. Regarding the Düsseldorf/Vienna connection: Thats truely a shame. I wanted to go via Dunkirk / Bruges / Düsseldorf and visit a friend from school on the way but the federal railways dropped this route from 2018 on. Hence the Hamburg route.

Franz ,
That is a very nice +8. Those semi-slick tyres were used on the LeMans 62 range cars in 2002/3 , plus a few other +8s and are possibly the originals . Please do yourself a favour and look at the date stamps , if they are indeed original then replace them as soon as you possibly can. Old tyres do not generate good grip, and with Yokohama tyres in particular, the rubber goes very "hard" and loses grip.
You will be amazed at the difference in handling, grip and comfort they will give you.
