I was considering roller rockers but have not fitted such a thing before. Are they plug and play or is there some fitting involved? They look like a work of art.
I love the cam/ecu upgrade as the Morgan pulls hard at all RPM ranges.

Minor fitting involved. If you are comfortable taking the original rockers off and refitting, its pretty straight forward after that apart from having to file the pushrod hole slightly bigger , the rods move around more. I found this a really worthwhile upgrade , engine is noticeably smoother at all revs , even after ecu and cam upgrades.

So when you are filing the edge how do you keep the metal from going down into the engine? Dumb question I know but I suspect I would need to pull it all apart again.
I did look at the S&S instructions and it looks pretty simple.

I did look at the S&S instructions and it looks pretty simple. With the push rods out the rod tube covers come out. This leaves just an open to atmosphere below the heads. It's easy to cover to protect the lifter galley area at that time. You would also just be extra careful on the inside of the heads in the valve galley area. I've been a while since I looked at the valve train on an S&S, but the push rod would move front to rear relative to the mounting in the M3W. If the roller rocker arms are a higher ratio than stock, it would mean that the push rod end of the rocker arm would be slightly shorter and that would put the push rod nearer the back side of the tube opening. So that area would need to be clearance just a bit. In general, just going from plain rocker arms to roller rocker arms, does not necessarily give you a higher ratio. I believe that S&S uses Chevy type rocker arms, at least that's what they look like to me. Why make something that you can buy already made up... I'm sure that Nippy can elaborate a bit more on this if you're interested.

Only thing I would add is , I would think twice about using a Dremel to do this , as they produce very fine dust , not swarf like a good sharp file makes. And they spray it about, so you dont quite know where it is going. You can see all the swarf you make below where you file. Probably a personal opinion , but for this job I would stick to a quality rat tail file. Also the aluminium is quite soft , so its not as if its a chore. From memory about 1/16" comes off - 2 mins work tops. Well detailed in the supplied S&S instruction sheet.

I think this photo gives an idea of where the metal needs to be removed, you are right Dan. They may well be a Chevy design but they are marked as S&S. Shame to fit the covers really, they look good.
