I don't know the car but it looks in very nice condition.

I would wonder a bit about the roll over bar and Willans belts though and ask a few questions as to whether it had been used for racing.

I wonder about racing too. But that said, racing is no real problem if the mechanics are all right. In fact its almost an advantage because if it has been used with vigour then its far more likely to have been looked after properly.

I wouldnt want to use seat belts like that on the road - a definite PITA

Thanks Richard/Howard. It does seem a pretty car and too pretty to have been raced I'd think. I suspect the roll bar was only for the road but it does also have side exit exhausts...

Looks nice. Good luck deciding.
1992 was when long door cars came in.
Looking at the pictures this is a short door as it has vents to demist.
The good news it is easy to fit aero screens.
The other side is the firewall bulkhead is mild steel so look for rot especially around the pedal box and on the tool box floor. The wings & body could be mild steel or ali. But ali wasn't used on the bulkhead.
The front suspension was improved in long door cars.
I had a 92 +4 short door & I loved it, you can see a picture opf it top right on the banner of the website in blue & silver.

Yes it's a 3.9 pre cat, all of which were short door cars. The mileage on the advert states 32k but having done an MOT check on line, the last MOT in Aug 2016 shows 40964 miles!

Looking forward to the conversation with the seller about that! ;-)

Well done Sprinty!

Smelled a rat when the mileage didn't match and when I spoke to the seller he had no history but said car was un restored and original! Just called him back to say he's an out right liar and scammer.

AVOID THIS CAR Registration number K991 RKL

Can we get this pinned to prevent someone getting burned?

It's write off.

To be fair, the salvage co describe its condition as 'S REPAIRABLE STRUCTURAL' here

The naughty bit is not declaring that, and winding the mileage back.

When a trader does that sort of thing, you do wonder how conscientious they've been in repairing the car.

I'd rapidly walk away from the trader, not just from this particular car

Good luck with your search Mike - sorry for the disapointment with this one - that's a first on here as far as I can recall.
