Yup, hottest day of the year so far, and it's officially an ice cream cornet day here. Marvellous..!! I hope everyone else is enjoying the sun too..

We had Beachdean ice cream at Ascot House. Fantastic.
I see Graham was weight watching and avoided the flake.

Look carefully John - there's definitely a flake in that. But yes, weight watching - there's only ONE flake  Thanks for resurrecting that  Steve  Haven't had an ice cream yet, today - though a Magnum white is not hiding in the freezer. Nice coffee run out with my pal and his Dad to Saul Junction earlier today. Toasted tea cakes are great! Followed by a stroll along the towpath and a few photos. Thanks Rich  Could be another avatar!

I could go off this thread topic. Winter is still wagging its tail here in Toronto. There was a crew out putting up boardwalks to provide the summer patios for a couple of the restaurants and bars on the street where my office is. Talking to one of the guys on my way to a coffee shop this morning, he remarked that this is the first time that he can remember having to shovel snow off the pavement so they can put the decking out.
It's promising to get up into double figures after the weekend, but the temperature is still resolutely below freezing overnight at the moment, and a bitter breeze is keeping the "feels-like" temperature at only a few degrees above zero even in the sunshine. Boo.
