In mine the "bulb fault" indication comes up randomly, with all lights working properly and disappear in the same way.
I noticed that that it happens more often if I have headlights already on when I start the car (but I'm too lazy to turn it on and off manually).
So I decided that I can live with the message when it shows up (not more than once after a couple of month) and stays no longer than a few hours.

I get a random bulb failure warning too - normally goes away the next time the car is used.

Used to get random bulb failure warnings on 80s Volvos (just thinking back to several of Dad's 200 Estates).

Near side headlight has failed. Sidelight is intermittent. I think a new unit after I’ve tested the battery.

So what circumstances would we consider fair  ? Anyone know where the battery isolator is on the Speedster ? They showed me when the car was delivered - I was too busy trying to get in and drive to take notice. Under RHS bonnet , you will notice a small red button and a black lever in front of the large alloy box , press button to switch off , slide lever anti clockwise to put electrics on.

Talking of bulb failure warning light , I've had this and took her in for her service in March and the fault seemed to be a number plate bulb fault confusing the ecu running the beemer systems , its a lot better but sometimes still comes up with the warning on the digital read out , it doesn't take much to mess the beemer ecu .

Just had its MOT and only thing fixed....number plate bulb.
Both headlight and side light gone so it’s off to dealers to have a look. In low bright sun in the evening - in a black car- I need both lights working.

Took it in to RTCC who have confirmed neither a headlight failure or fuse issue So it’s booked in for a fault find.
Put the roof up for the first time. Worked very well.
