I suggest you report it to trading standards.
Meanwhile why not look on the Morgan website for used cars. They should I hope be kosher.

To be fair, the salvage co describe its condition as 'S REPAIRABLE STRUCTURAL' here The naughty bit is not declaring that, and winding the mileage back. When a trader does that sort of thing, you do wonder how conscientious they've been in repairing the car. I'd rapidly walk away from the trader, not just from this particular car Will How he manages to say it is in beautiful condition, I don't know.

Looks like the ebay listing has now been updated to show correct mileage and detailing accident repair.
At least any buyer will now know it's true history.

Think this is the +8 that was in a crash on the M6 up in Lake District last year I posted about.
It was for sale by salvage yard in Durham I think.
The right side chassis was really bent.
The driver was hurt but think he is ok now.
I looked at this car with a friend who knows Morgans and he said it really needed a new chassis !

There are two lessons for all here.
Firstly, there are scammers in every corner and the buyer has to be very aware and check anything that seems slightly suspicious.
Secondly, the Morgan world is small and with great forums such as this one, invaluable help and advice is readily to hand!

It is a good price for the car as described.
BUT, for a repaired write off the price should be about 30% less. The Insurance Write Off Marker "SHOULD" be attached to the insurance database, but there are, both legal and illegal, ways to remove the marker.
New side, new chassis and at the right price a good buy - as long as the work was done by a bodyshop who understands coachwork. A superficial repair, bent chassis and removed write off marker means that the car is , IMHO, worthless.
These people are everywhere, did anyone watch Rogue Traders yesterday and in particular the feature on Puppy Farming??
