First time visiting Japan was in 2013. The morning after arrival I smoked outside the hotel in central Tokyo...and a Plus 8 came along, with a sonor and full bodied sound, the normal cars are much quiter than here. The only Mog I have seen. On May 16th we will go again to Japan, I hope to see some more Mogs.

I have never been to Japan Heinz but I speak to a few that belong to the Japanese Morgan Club on Facebook and they are very keen and prefer the Plus 8's although there are a few M3W out there as well.

When I was first and only once till now over there I was litterarly shocked in what a good shape and maintanance used items are. They really take care of their belongings. It seems to be a loss of face to offer something that is not perfectly maintained. This is not only true for cars but also for jazz and rock guitars, another hobby of mine.
When I am there again I wanted to visit a used car dealer for fun. The culture is very different from us. There are fewer but very large dealers with hundreds of cars each dealer. Unfortunately, almost all air-cooled 911 have automatic transmissions. But if anything, I'm looking for a 190E 2.3 16V.
BTW they like to buy LHD cars in the higher classes as long they are not British RHD anyway.

That is a very practical way of keeping the sun off the occupants but still allowing the open car experience .
I think some of our cousins across the pond have tried similar solutions , but this one does look very neat.

As they drive on the left hand side of the road a lot of their second hand cars appear over here, the Eunos came over in droves and quite a lot of the MINI's and of course EVO's and Subaru's.

Bimini tops are becoming fairly common in the US. I use my bimini tens times as much as my regular top. As MOG 615 noted, it allows the open car experience while it shades us from our brutal summer sun. It even helps in light rain if you can keep moving.
Bimini tops work better on Morgans with the 4-seater windscreen.
