I took off my badge bar and badges when I had full bumpers fitted. Somehow the bar I had seemed to sit too high. I never got round to fitting it and then when in desperation I told my house clearance guys to just clear all the junk in the garage.....they went 😳.

So now badgeless and I’m beginning to like the clean look.....thankfully!

I tried that Graham but found that it hid not only the brackets but also the bottom half of the badges.

Do I need to extend the brackets for this method or have I just got a higher than standard front bumper?

Either a higher bumper or a lower badge bar Ian.
I couldn't tell without actually seeing the result smile

I am contemplating adding a badge bar to my 1966 Plus Four but am wondering about any adverse effects on engine cooling and welcome any thoughts on this. Thanks.

Ref,
I had 4 badges on my previous Roadster with no cooling problems, even in France with air temps in the 30's (deg C that is)

Fit the bar "upside down" i.e. low, this will reduce any potential problems. You may have to fit badges first though.
